Never much of a Nicholson fan but this changed my mind. Such a perfect performance of a man lost in his own life.
The scene when Schmidt breaks down handling his late wife's clothes is heartbreaking, only for that heartbreak to turn to anger within seconds.
Extremely touching and funny - highly recommended.
