Richard Trapp’s review:
Judging by that poster, not even Howie Long knows why some studio execs gave him his own vehicle. He can't act to save his life, and certainly can't create a likeable onscreen persona. But Firestorm would still be a bad film without him. Contrived, cheesy crap with no heart and no charm, anchored by an admittedly ok opening sequence and a few humorous scenes. The most surprising thing about it, though, is the shitty acting. Excluding Long, there is a really good cast here, but even Scott Glenn is terrible (and I love Scott Glenn).
