Avatar is the only questionable film there! Didn't like Hurt Locker?
Avatar is there because despite the story not being amazing (or original) it was incredible to watch. The world he created was really beautiful and the technical skill just astounding. Wasn't a fan of Hurt Locker - it's fine but not my thing.
