Zombieland 2009

Sam’s review:
After watching this again the other night, I've begun to realise a few things...
1. Jesse Eisenberg is brilliant at being Michael Cera 2.0.
2. I'm in love with Emma Stone.
3. Zombies don't need to be scary.
4. Zombies are the best thing ever.
Jesse Eisenberg in what I would call his most likeable role. Columbus is everything you'd imagine a survivor would be, and that you'd want them to be... Neurotic, Pedantic and a little nervous. He's the everyman. He just happens to be a little more flaky than others.
Wichita (Emma Stone) is unlike most girls in Zombie films. She's strong, but still girly. She's alluring, but awesome. She has the ability to be funny and girly without being TOO feminine, or even annoying.
Everything else in this film is just brilliant. The humour is accessible and very funny throughout, and doesn't take away from the action. The action, in fact, is enhanced by the comedy. Fat zombies getting killed by a banjo? Sounds funny. It is. Sounds brutal. It is.
All in all, it's one of my favourite films i've ever seen, and for good reason. Funny, thrilling and quotable as hell.
"Rule #32: Enjoy the little things". This is one of them.
