  • How to Train Your Dragon 2 2014

    ★★★★½ Watched 19 Oct, 2014 1

The how to train your dragon series has taken over the top spot in well directed animation films! Almost as superb as the 1st film, this sequel too is just fantastically enjoyable to watch and experience. Toothless remains as enjoyable as in the original film, Stoick (Gerard Butler) again is wonderful as the chief and the place of Berk again is a feast of humour, beauty and fun. Unlike so many other animated films, How to Train Your Dragon actually has…

  • Kite 2014

    ★★½ Watched 19 Oct, 2014

Remake of Yasuomi Umetsu's animated film.
Was hoping for more even though I was not familiar with the story of the animated film at all.
Thing is, there are so many much better revenge flicks out there.
India Eisley plays the part of the main character just fine.
But even for a fairly short film with a running time of 90 minutes I had trouble staying interested.

  • Strange Days 1995

    ★★★★½ Watched 30 Apr, 2013 8

What a fantastic collaboration between James Cameron for writing this impressive 90's futuristic story and the screenplay and Kathryn Bigelow for directing this fantastic thrill ride! The film's got great leading performances from Ralph Fiennes as Lenny Nero, Juliette Lewis and Angela Bassett. The supporting cast is impressive too with solid performances across the board. The action sequences are simply fantastic, Kathryn Bigelow really shines in that department. This was my 1st viewing of Strange Days and expect to revisit this great film once either the US or UK blu-ray is released. Highly recommended!

  • The Wolf of Wall Street 2013

    ★★★★ Watched 19 Mar, 2014 2

One of Mr. Scorsese's finest films, The Wolf of Wall Street is a 3 hour tour de force brimmed with energy and fantastic acting.
Like so many other reviewers have already stated before me, it is a feat and an acknowledgement for a 3 hour film to only feel not even half as long, it is that good.
I don't think it is worth a 5 star rating but I did thoroughly enjoy the hell out of it and will definitely add this to my Blu-ray collection.
