Letterboxd — Your life in film

I cannot fathom the reason behind the accolades for this film. The plot is thin, the characters are at the low-end of two-dimensional, and while Wallis is adorable, she is nowhere near Oscar-worthy.

Best soundtrack of the #80s, and probably top ten all-around album of the decade too.

Love this film from top to bottom. That being said, I don't now that Basinger deserved an Oscar, but she doesn't detract from the film.

D R E A D F U L. Worst movie I've seen in a long time that wasn't "so bad it's good".

I'm not sure why I had low expectations for this film, but they were entirely unfounded. Great fun!

And 8 years later Brad and Angelina are still married. You can see the chemistry here. Fun, check-your-mind-at-the-door actioner, with eye candy for everyone.

I hadn't seen this in a long time. The animation has something of a 1940s throwback feel; not so much in the lines, but in the colors. As renaissance Disney animation goes, this is meh, though.

Love love love this movie. It's proof that popcorn can have quality.

McCaunaghey and MacLaine are VERY overrated here, but Jack Black is the good. The townspeople make the movie, though.

1. If you haven't known, even to a mild degree, any of the dysfunction on display in this movie, I really need to meet your family.

2. Bradley Cooper. Who knew?

3. The Kevin Kolb jersey on Cooper's character's mom says SO much.

4. Thank you, filmmakers, for sparing us the obligatory shot of the Rocky statue.
