Great style. Too long though. Yes, I guess the long claustrophobic silences meandering through the Tokyo skyline and building walls between characters further emphasises the isolation and languidness of Oscar's spirit, but it got a bit too much 2+hrs in. Also the use of slightly focusing on an object (usually circular) in the room, only to move slightly from it before throwing us headlong into and through the object, thus into a scene change became tiresome due to its' constant repetitiveness. With all this said, it was an interesting way to compile a film and convey a story. It would've been a sound engineers dream! Great soundscapes.
