I was pretty skeptical about this film when it hit theaters. It seemed like the type of film that's usually released after Christmas: a film seemingly saved from a straight-to-video release by the marquee value of Liam Neeson's name alone. Boy, was I wrong! Neeson plays Ottway, the leader of a band of oil-rig workers who are stranded in the wilderness of Alaska after a plane crash. Simply surviving the crash isn't enough. These guys have to endure being stalked by a pack of wolves and the bitter cold and snow. Neeson's performance is one of his best. The suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. One of the best surprises of the year.
