    Boring. Zzzzz.

Other than the stunning visuals and cinematography - this film makes absolutely no sense. I was not scared aside from the "BOO!" moments that happen throughout. Absolutely horrible ending. Skip it.

Awesome documentary on body modification from the mainstream to the bizarre. Hard to watch in parts but fascinating.

What a disappointment. With so many great people in this film, I expected so much more. From the dull Josh Brolin to the high-pitched Ryan Gosling to the Dick-Tracy-comic-book-villain of Sean Penn, this film just kind of falls apart. The 3 high points in the movie are Giovanni Ribisi's charming depiction of the "tech guy," the woman who plays Brolin's wife and most noteably the cinematography of Los Angeles in the 1940's - which was stunning. Otherwise, skip it.

  • Texas Chainsaw 3D 2013

I can't for the life of me figure out why they bothered doing this film in 3D. There was nothing cool about the effects. Boring, unoriginal, no.

  • Planes, Trains and Automobiles 1987

I can't believe I made it this long without watching this film. Finally fixed that problem. Loved it from beginning to end. I miss the hell out of John Candy.

  • Blue Valentine 2010

    ★★★ Watched 09 Jan, 2013

This movie depressed and scared me to no end. It's an absolutely heartbreaking depiction of what can happen in relationships - how we give up on our dreams and change who we are because of what life throws at us. I basically cried for 2 hours.

  • Cashback 2006

    ★★★ Watched 08 Jan, 2013

I was pleasantly surprised by this film. I've had it on my Netflix queue for a while and finally decided to watch it. It made me laugh and cry - a beautiful depiction of what a breakup can do to a person and the process by which we all get over it and eventually move on.

  • Parker 2013

    ★½ Watched 26 Jan, 2013

Totally generic smash and grab movie. Nothing original stands out at all and seeing J Lo in a pathetic, desperate woman role was disenchanting. Jason Statham is hot and clearly this kind of film is his wheelhouse but I was not really entertained.

This is the story of Bill, Joan and Jerry - the Maine Troop Greeters. When Iraq War Veterans return to the U.S. via the Bangor Maine Airport - they are there to greet them, shake their hand, thank them for their service and provide them with free use of phones to call their loved ones anywhere in the country. They've greeted over 750,000 troops and still going. This movie is also a deeper look into their own personal lives. It…

  • New York, I Love You 2009

    ★★ Watched 04 Jan, 2013

Directed by Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding) this film is a rendition of the movie Paris, I Love You, which I have not seen. It’s an anthology film that follows 10 little vignettes about “love” and how people can still surprise you in New York City. As to be expected, some vignettes are more interesting than others. The one with Olivia Thirlby is cute and the one with Ethan Hawke was good too. Those are probably my favorites. It’s entertaining and charming, a good rainy day movie. The cast is pretty stacked. Some nice moments and connections but overall, I thought it was just okay.
