Takashi Miike definitely has talent. It's just not my kind of a movie. I think he tries to class up the film with thinly veiled sentiment. I did appreciate that he stuck mostly to the book of Hitchcock. Even when it was supposed to be gruesome, it was everything but the actual act that made you cringe.
