My List of Supposedly Bad Films that I still Enjoyed.

I know there have been many "Guilty Pleasure" and "So Bad They're Good" lists. This is a list of films I have seen more than once that are actually "supposedly bad" films that I still found entertaining, and in some cases very entertaining.
They are not in any order.....yet

  • grooveman; The "Showgirls" Special V.I.P. boxed addition is proudly displayed in my theater. :-)

  • Showgirls is great. A big budget exploitation film. What's not to love about that.

  • Del Boy: Thank you . I didn't want to be the only one who enjoyed that film. Hell, I even liked the sequel! :-)

  • "Big Trouble in Little China," "Waterworld," and "Highlander:" pure gold. Many "supposedly bad films" have found their ways into many of my top ten lists. Cool idea, ShowBill.

  • A lot of these movies are legitimately good. Especially Big Trouble In Little China. Sure, the production values are not the greatest, but everything else is amazing. Great story, unbelievably amazing characters, fine acting, etc. It's truly a damn good film.

  • You are absolutely correct Ryan. A lot of these are very good "in my opinion". Big Trouble is a great example. I tried to list films that I have heard many "experts" criticize, that I still liked!

  • Whoa! I had to double check to make sure I didn't create this list. It's eery. Out of the 63% I have seen, I loved pretty much all of them.

Here's my favourites of the bunch:

    1. Arachnophobia
    2. They Live
    3. Mars Attacks
    4. Cannonball Run
    5. Caveman

    My duds are:

    Battlefield Earth (pure torture)
    Howard the Duck (WTF?)

Overall though, our tastes match up very closely.

  • MVM: Quote: "Howard the Duck (WTF)
    I think that rhymes! :-)
I might have to rethink Howard; myself! :)
Battlefield Earth; You are not wrong there either. It struck me as one of the; "So bad that...." category.

  • Showgirls and From Dusk till Dawn are both in my top 100 list. Actually every film in this list that I've seen I love. I just ordered Waterworld on blu-ray.
