Dead Man 1995 ★★★★★

I miss this Johnny Depp. The Johnny Depp that would make awesome, small budget unique pictures like this and experiment with different directors like Jim Jarmusch and not even care if he got paid. He just wanted to be apart of good projects that he thought were interesting. Now he's willing to make Pirates of the Caribbean flicks and films with Tim Burton for the rest of this life as long as those movies kept making money. Those were the days...

  • Have you seen Jarmusch's other films? I'm a big fan. Down by Law is one of my favorite films.

  • I saw and loved Ghost Dog, Night on Earth, and Coffee and Cigarettes. I thought Broken Flowers was ok. I really like the guy. I really want to see Down by Love though.

  • Down by Law is great. If you're also interested in independent film making, take a look at Stranger than Paradise, which is really great considering how cheap it was.

I also seem to be the only one that doesn't like Ghost Dog that much, but then again, I'm a huge fan of Le Samourai.

But do watch Down by Law. Easily one of the all time greats.

Also, there's one episode of Bored to Death that he stars in where he's hilarious.

I'm rambling now. I should stop.

  • I liked both Ghost Dog and Le Samourai. I can kinda understand why some may not like Ghost Dog.

Will do! I'll check out Stranger in Paradise too.

I remember that episode of Bored to Death. One of my favorite episodes and one of my favorite shows. Still makes me sad that it was cancelled :'(

Just had an idea...imagine if Jim Jarmusch directed a Bored to Death movie! That would be so cool!

Geez, now I'm rambling. I'll stop now.

  • But...but...I like Pirates.

  • I do too. I just don't wanna see them making them over and over again. The first two were great, then they started to suck and get stale fast.
