Sean Penn gave a star making performance with this film and he's been on a role ever since. He is just hilarious in this. Poignant drama mixes well with hysterical comedy. This film is filled with quotable lines, memorable moments, and likable characters. This is one of the best films to come out of the 80's and arguably the best high school film ever made.
