I couldn't really get into the story until Bobby Sands showed up but when it got going, it REALLY got going. It features one of my favorite scenes shot on film: a 17 minute conversation between Bobby and Father Dominic shot in only a couple takes. Along with that scene, this film is filled with such powerful and unforgettable moments. Michael Fassbender is just phenomenal. The story of Bobby Sands and the Hunger Strike has never been told with such raw intensity as it is in Hunger. Fascinating, fantastic, and unforgettable.
