Jumpers are the laziest people on the planet.

They "jump" just to get a remote 10 feet away from them.

They're almost lazier than the filmmakers.

The filmmakers just took a cool concept and did very little with it, but give us cool effects thinking we won't notice,

That's lazy filmmaking folks. Maybe the filmmakers are jumpers. Makes sense. Sorta.
