Ralph Fiennes gives an astonishing and brilliant performance. You also get great performances from Gabriel Bryne and Miranda Richardson, but it's Fiennes who truly shines in this bleak tale. David Cronenberg does an amazing job bringing his unique style into such a strange tale fit for him. This is a compelling, interesting, gripping, and bizarre character study.
