The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest 2010 ★★★

I find it interesting how well the trilogy evolved with each film. The first film was a mystery thriller. The second, more of an action film. This third and final film is more like a political thriller with a bit of courtroom drama. Sadly, as each film evolved, they also got more flawed and this one is definetely the worst.

My problem is that there are long periods of time where nothing really happens, unfortunately, also meaning that Lisbeth doesn't do much. She's one of the most interesting characters of the last decade and to see her do nothing is disappointing. A bit too slow for my tastes and a little boring.

There are a few good things though. First, like I said, I liked how each film has a different style making each film unique. The acting is great and Noomi Rapace once again gives an excellent performance. The direction is a massive improvement from the last film, which I thought was a bit sloppy. Aside from some sloppy action scenes, this director makes it up by adding his only little touches to the film.

While a bit disappointing if you really liked the last two, this is a decent conclusion to a great trilogy that ties up loose ends and proves why the whole trilogy is such a must see event.
