Silent J’s review:
While it is a big chore to get through its long length (especially with commercials like I did), you still can't deny how impressive the film is and for what it achieves, it is astonishing. The acting is absolutely amazing, especially from Yul Brynner who steals the show. The costume designs and set pieces look wonderfully stunning. The special effects, while some look dated, others look magnificent. The music makes you believe you are truly witnessing an epic tale and it is wonderful. Entertaining and spectacular.
