I'm weeping tears of joy seeing 25th Hour at #1. Such an under-appreciated masterpiece.
But...no love for the Lord of the Rings?
Sadly, I did'nt like the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I enjoyed Return of the King to a certain degree, but as a whole I found it all boring, especially Two Towers. I don't believe the story needed a whole trilogy to wrap up it's story. This may sound a bit mean, but my entire opinion of the Rings trilogy can be summed up here www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxAEo3CWeq8 Granted, my tastes have changed a lot since I first saw them. I want to rewatch them before The Hobbit comes out since I know my friends are going to drag me into seeing it. Maybe I'll like them when I see them or they'll get worse. We'll see I guess.
I'm completely in love with the Lord of the Rings films, especially the extended versions. The length is one of my favorite aspects. I love being in that world with those characters. I think it's easily the greatest cinematic accomplishment of the modern age.
