Genuinely good movie. I love these kind of underdog movies where they can turn the odds in their favour using unorthodox ways of going about things. The first half hour starts off slowly but when Jonah Hill makes an appearance it really starts to get going. The story gently builds the emotional stakes in the first hour in such an understated way that it's a genuine pleasure to feel it all pay off so magnificently in the closing stages. For someone who doesn't know anything about baseball this movie can be quite confusing at first but after the first hour you start to get the concept. Most movies now are around the 1 and a half hour mark, this being just over 2 makes is a bit hard especially early on but it didnt really bother me all to much. As far as the actors go I really like Jonah Hill and Brad Pitt working together, they were excellent.
