Von Trier does a good job at disgusting us while making a horror movie where you need to 'think.' The film is a series of convoluted gruesome moments but, not taken literally, is a good expression of loss and depression. If you can handle it it is worth the watch, but prepare yourself for a ride which will probably make you incredibly upset.
