The Body Beneath 1970 ★★★

Super cheapo Brit shocker, with the expected wobbly production values and performances. Two out of the three stars are down to the hammy performance of Gavin Reed as the chief vampire, who pretty much makes the film. An added pleasure is his uncanny resemblance (both physically and performance wise) to The League of Gentlemen’s Reece Shearsmith. Whenever he is on screen (thankfully often), the film feels like an extended League episode, and had me smiling throughout.
