An odd little film. In a somewhat disingenuous move it tries to play on the "uh oh, gay sex" shocker, when the true story is about the way our social mores force male relationships into frigid, emotionally distant, heterosexuality-as-performance-art dynamics. Ultimately the two characters are exploring the emotional bond that continues to connect them, even though their lives carry them further apart. The exploration of physicality between them is an effort to understand their intimacy, which doesn't fit the heterosexual…
