I'm still a bit taken aback by how much I actually liked this film. At first there's a sense of the film not taking things seriously, boiling divorce after a long marriage into a very basic "Wheee you get divorced and pretty much everything's okay and a handsome stranger teaches you how to have sex with everyone." But as it progresses it has a little something more to say than that, and while the finale is a little hokey, it gets the job done. Consider it a romantic comedy/drama for people who hate most romantic comedy/dramas.
