This is a real-life High Fidelity, in which director Chris Waitt hunts down former girlfriends to interview them about where he went wrong — but that's pretty much where the comparison ends. Chris comes across as a rather shambolic lazy guy, and you spend a lot of time in disbelief that anyone would put up with him for long; but it's hard to know how much of this is an act for the camera. There are certainly points that feel like planned set-pieces (the Viagra experiment for example) but these are interspersed with some seemingly honest interviews with the ex-girlfriends so in the end I had mixed feelings towards it... Was it a serious documentary, or was it just entertainment? A bit of both I suspect, but not enough of either for me to recommend it.
