It's been a while since I saw the previous Bourne films, but thanks to a solid recap from Matthew on the way to the cinema I was primed and ready for the next installment. It took a while to get off the ground and could have done with a little more believability in the final chase sequence, but in general Renner fits the role well and it was a fairly enjoyable, though not excellent, action film. Although I liked Renner in the new role, the character of Aaron Cross was lacking in depth and given snippets of backstory but not enough to make you really care what happened to him. Hopefully this will be developed further in subsequent films.
