List by Mike Harding Crew
TV on the Silver Screen
TV shows that have made the jump into movies — some more successfully than others. Suggestions are welcome!
THE RULES: The TV series has to have been the original incarnation — for example Transformers doesn't count because they started life as a toy first, and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy started life as a novel before the TV series was made. The TV show has to be a full series — movies fleshed out from skits on shows such as SNL don't count (however The Simpsons counts because the original shorts evolved into a full series). Where a series of movies were made (e.g. for Stark Trek) I will just include the first film of the series.
Ah yes! Of course they were! That's a major malfunction on my part, dang it!
And what's more, I own the bloody books!!! Ha ha! What a plank I am!

@Lee Ha ha! You should have known better! (I haven't read the books, but hear they are great)
@Mike the movie is not good, but the tv show is fantastic. Amy Sedaris and Stephen Colbert pre-Daily Show.
*sigh* sadly I can say I saw Underdog which should unfortunately be on this list

@Devin Added. Apparently the original cartoon series was dreamed up by the ad agency for General Mills breakfast cereal, to help promote their products. I've never seen it myself. Sounds like maybe I should give it a miss ;)
George of the Jungle
Dudley Do-Right
Rocky and Bullwinkle

@Noetic All added :) Along the same lines, I threw in Yogi Bear too.
How could I forget the great Recess School's Out
Crew
@Devin I've never actually heard of it, but it's been added :)
