Code Unknown 2000 ★★★★★

Tremendously underrated, Michael Haneke's 2000 film Code Unknown is a series of scenes so masterfully constructed and so intensely meaningful that to see them individually is almost as powerful as seeing the film as a whole. Loaded with fantastic tracking shots, stunning acting (there is a scene involving sexual harrassment on a subway train that is probably one of the most difficult scenes you will ever see in a movie) and Haneke's trademark "cold stare" direction, this is easily one of his greatest achievements.
