Funny Games is an impressive example of an 'American Remake' fail.. even with the same director given full creative license the film is terrible.
Its mainly Watt's fault. I don't think she has really been good in much aside from David Lynch's smart use of her in Mullholland Drive.
Funny Games is great! It's so delightfully subversive and in your face. I love how it's just the right about of abrasive.
I agree. It is a great, daring, howlingly vicious film.
The Piano Teacher is still my favorite Haneke film and Time of the Wolf at a close second.
Both are great films. I'm sensing a Huppert theme, haha
