Due Date 2010 ★★★

Watched Jul 12, 2012

This is basically Planes, Trains & Automobiles updated for the 21st century.
Downey Jr and the other dude who's name I can't spell from memory make a good screen duo, there are a lot of laughs with the odd poignant moment thrown in too. I did think that the story got a bit too silly towards the end but overall it was very funny and let's just say I've never seen a masturbating dog before......

  • My father loved coffee, now he has been enjoyed as coffee, circle of life...

  • Sorry, but I don't think it's right to compare the fantastic Planes, Trains, & Automobiles to this drek. P.T.A. contains genuine heart and will produce laughs for any generation. This, however, is truly contemporary and suffers through the many faults of Todd Philips. An example, an all too forgiving Downey Jr. letting a borderline-sociopath anywhere near his child, and forgiving him 30 seconds after he learned this man stole his identity, or whatever stupid plot device they used. John Hughes evoked certain emotions from his actors and his audience that may never be reached again. Please don't tarnish his legacy with comparisons like this.

  • Sorry Zac but that's my opinion, and to quote a friend of mine 'Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one'
