I liked the combination of 1980s action film and 1950s science fiction film, however I thought that the film had a slight problem with pacing and much of the film is over before the plot really gets going.

I also would have been more accepting of the lack of a full resolution to the alien invasion plot if they didn't end the film on a cheap gag: Girl finds out she is having sex with an alien - CUT TO CREDITS!
