Star Trek Into Darkness.

Hmm. I thought this was a bit underwhelming. I rewatched the previous 2009 installment last week, seeing it for the first time in four years, and was surprised by how much I remembered. I saw the sequel this morning, and don't think it's anywhere near as memorable. Iron Man Three

Awful non-numerical title aside, Stark is in another great movie. It's the sixth film in the Marvel Movie series, and they've all ranged from just above average (The Incredible Hulk) to bloody brilliant (Marvel Avengers Assemble). Iron Man started Phase One of this series, so it feels right that he's back to start the second phase.

I did think the film could have benefited a bit more from a few more Avengers references and maybe cameos, although…

I hadn't seen much promotion for this film, so wasn't really sure what sort of movie it was going to be. Only really knowing it was set in the future, post nuclear war with aliens, I think I was expecting a big battle sort of movie, maybe in the same genre as Battle Los Angeles or Skyline or something like that.
