stevenmorrish’s review:
This film isn't brilliant, but it's got a fairly good premise (given away completely in the trailer, but that doesn't matter), and more importantly it's got three lead actors putting in top performances. Tom Hardy, Chris Pine and Reese Whitherspoon are all great, and play their pretty one dimensional characters well. It's completely far fetched nonsense, and probably not quite as funny as it thinks it is, but it's still a perfectly enjoyable 90 minutes.
Pine and Hardy play Bond style agents, who both fall for Whitherspoon, who can't decide which to date, so dates them both. They both know about it, and it's pretty much all about who can impress her the most, which leads to amusing sabotage scenes and some glorious OTT action.
It looks good, it's acted well, and even though it is complete nonsense, you still kind of go along with it.
