The Fall 2008

Steve Dennis’s review:
I love this film more every time I see it, and this time, in glorious high definition. While the fantasy parts can come across as overly theatrical, or cheesy, to me, they're completely consistent with what probably goes through the imagination of a 5 year old when hearing a story.
The dark streak that runs throughout the film, dealing with depression, suicide, and manipulation by people in a position of power, elevates the non-fantasy scenes and solidifies the film in my mind as a masterpiece, instead of just a really pretty film with little substance.
