Keith’s review:
What The Big Chill did at the beginning of the eighties with 70s music and a bunch of friends getting back together for the first time in years, Peter's Friends does at the beginning of the nineties with 80s music and in England. A great ensemble piece!
You had me at "The Big Chill". Added to my watchlist.
Holy crap, I just had a look at the cast. Expectations now unreasonably high.
Some people will undoubtedly call it a knock-off, and it does share some common traits, but I still very much enjoyed it.
I don't disagree with your review, but it's a weaker film than The Big Chill. Enjoyed it back then, didn't hold up in a rewatch.
True, The Big Chill is better. I don't dispute that.
