Letterboxd — Your life in film

Quality sci-fi. Very worth the watch!

Trine Dyrholm is excellent once again. Good film.

Underwhelming. Seriously considered stopping about half way through.

This is precisely the type of film I should hate. Complete shlock and utterly pointless. Still I found myself rooting for the girls as they battle for a chance of being the #1 acapella group.

Decent film about a Danish judge forced to deal with tough things both at work and at home. Enjoyable, but nothing spectacular.

3 hours of talking about the psychological meanings in various famous films. Has some insights, but not really worth the long running-time.

Kid's film and not very good.

Red Dawn in Australia. Only not very good...

The original Red Dawn captured a moment in time, where the yanks were genuinely afraid of Russia and WW III. It had a bunch of then fairly unknown names, many of whom would go on to greater things. This version doesn't have the same underlying tone or feeling of "what-if". Instead it is a bit like a comic book version where everyone is a cardboard cutout and you are left with a film that you simply don't connect with. Still, if you take it as merely escapism, it just about ticks all the boxes.

I know this is pure American propaganda, but I really like the story of a bunch of kids going to the mountains to survive an invasion.

Finally got around to watching this. Watchable, but not much more...

Very enjoyable. Ben Affleck is slowly making me believe he is a good filmmaker.
