A list of all the films I have seen that were in French, not necessarily from France tho. As always, recommendations are welcome.

Watched Pour Elle. Vastly superior to the American remake, The Next Three Days.
Added L'auberge Espagnole. Very enjoyable.
And God Created Woman -- ah, Brigitte Bardot. The movie's all right, but she's as magical as they come.
My Father's Glory and its sequel My Mother's Castle are two of the sweetest and most sincere French films ever. Both based on the childhood memories of Marcel Pagnol.
Monsieur Lazhar is also very good. Won a bunch of awards. Suicide, kids, Algeria, Canada in winter, fairytales...somehow all works well together.
@Noetic: Think I watched the remake, but not the original. Maybe I should have a look for it.
@Maria: They look like good choices. Will keep an eye out for them.
Watched La Haine. Good, but not great.
Since I posted, I got a chance to watch Summer Hours, a good, solid, subtle drama about an art collector who dies, and her family has to decide what to do with her house and stuff.
Also The Kid on a Bike, a Belgian film--slow, thoughtful drama with an odd storyline.
@Maria: Summer Hours looks good. The Kid on a Bike however I am not sure about.
Ha ha, yeah, it's an unusual film. Very Belgian, i.e., like the landscape. Tedious, flat, unremarkable--or so it seems. (They make the best fries and beer, though.)
Watched Intouchables. A moving and funny film. Deservedly currently in the IMDb Top 250!
