Hero has an interesting narrative style that I thought fit very well and I liked the use of colors to differentiate the different story lines. The cinematography was amazing. I had only two small gripes though: the few times CGI was used it was painfully obvious and in some scenes the dialogue was poor but that might have been my subtitle track.

Like I said in my review of Vol. 1, Tarantino knows how to make a very entertaining film. Although I did enjoy the ending of Vol. 2 thoroughly, I think Vol. 1 is better.

I'm not sure about this one. The camera work and editing was just plain sloppy and I felt the cinematography for the majority of the film was dull. The dialogue was almost comically bad at times. The overall direction was simply uninspired and lacked any real focus.
