I'm not the biggest Sam Rockwell fan but he was hilariously unstable in this, which wasn't apparent at the beginning. I'm also not fans of Christopher Walken, or Colin Farrell either, so I was wary, but I though this was okay, despite the over the top violence and ridiculous plot. I found myself wishing for a little more cohesion, and I wouldn't see it again, but I didn't hate it.

Loved it. Gosling was wordless and broken, and Mulligan was complicated and sweet. I loved the violence and the love story. I saw it twice in theaters, which is something I had never done before, or since. I also own it, and I paid full price, which is saying something.

Even thought I knew the story, I was still completely engrossed the entire time. Affleck's acting was perfect, the movie was alternately incredibly tense and laugh out loud funny and perfectly executed. The time period was completely believable, without a single anachronism.
