After the surprisingly awesome Manhattan instalment, the franchise jumps three sharks, a hockey rink and most of Canada in this one. It doesn't fit in with the previous entries, letting the supernatural aspect take a front seat and putting the Hockey mask wearing killer in the boot. Fortunately, it falls under the category of so cheesey it's good, for the most part. If Jason had actually gone to hell and slashed his way out through hordes of demons, that would have made more sense than a lot of things in the not-quite-final Friday. Actually, that would have been fucking awesome.
