This is a very entertaining reboot that actually uses the term correctly and ushers this characters into more of a contemporary thing. Peter feels like a modern geek and acts pretty much as a kid his age. Dr. Connors is played brilliantly and the action scenes are rather enthralling.
However - and this isn't me complaining, just being curious - I found a bunch of parallels with Sam Raimi's film, especially in the way the movie is structured and some of the key screenplay elements. Of course I'm not talking about Spidey's origin trademarks, but stuff that has more to do with the pacing and how some scenes are played out...
