Very sensitive subject with some strong contributors but it felt a little stretched thin in parts. It was like they didn't have enough content to fill the scheduled time-slot and relied on meaningless montages in-between the meat of the narrative to make it fit. Also, the DSLR look should not be seen in a feature TV documentary, it looks shoddy and is a major distraction. Very ropey in parts and the sound was also on the fringe of terrible.
Really enjoyed a good majority of this film but some disn't sit right with me and left me with a slight bitter taste in the mouth. The latter thirds of a lot of horror movies this decade fall short of the mark and I couldn't help but think that if this wasn't a small low budget Australian movie then it wouldn't have half of the accelades it's getting. If this is a '5 star' then we need to start adding more stars to the rating system.
