Tony Huang’s review:
Ending seemed a little obvious, middle section dragged slightly (ever so slightly!). But as far perfect-moment movies go, this one is loaded to the brim. Every other scene is a killer, and few of them are "too flashy". And as far as world-building goes, Carax is a fucking genius--nothing needs to ever make sense, and the film's better off for it. Modern love as science fiction.
