A Short History of 'My Favorite Movie'
In chronological order, these are the movies that I can remember thinking of or referring to as my 'favorite movie' at one point or another - ranging from when I was six (Space Jam) to today (Spirit of the Beehive). It is perhaps the saddest list of all time.
I'm in awe. I'd do my own but it would be nowhere near as interesting.
Pretty proud that this is almost certainly the first list to bring together Space Jam and Spirit of the Beehive that is not just "Movies That Start With 'S.'"

I love that Dracula is smashed in between Space Jam and The Emperor's New Groove.

Yeah, as a six year old kid living in Chicago whose two favorite things were essentially Looney Tunes and Michael Jordan there was no way it WOULD'NT be my favorite.
Best transition here is definitely the one from Dracula to The Emperor's New Groove.

It's a llama which is entirely appropriate for a historically accurate animated film set in the heyday of the Inca Empire, god damn it.

I saw Space Jam five times at the cinema. It's rough looking back in it now but Michael Jordan + Bill Murray + Looney Tunes is a decent combination.
