Following the rise and fall of an enrapturing Venetian courtesan in the 1500s, this movie is a decent watch. The costumes were gorgeous, and the main character sometimes endearing as you follow her from one comical "becoming a whore" montage to another. Although sometimes gag-worthy in plot (due to some poor decision making on the courtesan's part), the final scene of the movie is probably one of the best parts; both comical & intense.
