This is a very unique film, with wonderful stylised black & white animation. It's nothing like what I expected. I guess when it comes to animation I always have pre-conceived ideas of what the film will be like, but this wasn't like that. It's mature and dark, with a wry sense of humour.
It's set in Iran against the backdrop of the Iranian revolution; the aforementioned monochromatic animation reflecting the tyranny and fearfulness of the times, in which citizens live in fear of persecution.
This is a very good film that is certainly not for children.
