Dehydration, truly, is the most dangerous affliction a person can suffer through. I was surprised by how frankly self-aware Batman: The Movie is. The only time I'd ever seen the original Batman TV show was on TV Land when I was a kid, and the impression I got about the show from those around me was always that it was flamboyantly idiotic. If the movie is any indication, it's not that Batman is actually bad, just very silly.
Anyways, Batman: The Movie is...well, it is what it is. There are several moments of EXTREME CHEESE, like when Batman fights off a shark with his Shark Repellant Bat Spray while dangling from the Bat-Ladder which is haphazardly attached to the Bat-Copter which I assume is usually kept safe in the Bat-Cave. I enjoyed these moments of total absurdity, and the writing never fails to impress, but during moments of plain exposition, Batman: The Movie most strongly resembles a bad Saturday Morning cartoon: it's all the same schemes that create problems with predictable solutions. Well..perhaps the solutions aren't entirely predictable in this case, but the schemes certainly are.
If any of this sounds appealing, chances are high you're going to have fun here, so in that sense I'd highly recommend this.
