Aaron T. Rex’s review:
I think I'll have to rewatch this one soon as it wasn't the best of experiences under the given circumstances. What I do know is that I wasn't disappointed and it looked absolutely gorgeous. Also, Asa Butterfield surprised the hell out of me. Usually child-actors really have to do something special for me to like them and he really did.
The Zays remains my main man.
I don't want to know what kind of "special things" child actors have to do in order for you to like them Aaron.
I'll choose to ignore that comment, good sir Ape.
HaHa - It was there all laid out in front of me, and I couldn't resist.
Fair enough. I trust you know what I meant though. Otherwise I don't know what to say... Haha.
HaHa - I knew exactly what you meant, as my feelings about Hugo are the exact same as yours.
I feel much better now. But how did you watch the film? Cinema?
Yeah, I saw it in the theatre. Had no idea Georges Melies was a main part of the film, which blew my mind when it was revealed. Also, the scene when Sacha Baron Cohen gets really close to the camera was one of the best 3D effect my eyeballs have ever experienced.
I'm so mad at myself that I didn't watch it in the theatre.. I've vowed to watch every Scorsese film in the theatre from this moment forth.
