Fear and Desire 1953
Not nearly as bad as I had expected. Contains plenty of redeeming elements. Most notably the cinematography which is pretty good at times.
-
The Italian Job 1969
Cool as ice. The last half hour is brilliance and the ending is perfect.
-
Four Rooms 1995
The first two segments are pretty poor but Rodriguez and Tarantino make up for it, mostly by toning down Roth's performance. His whimsiness doesn't work for me in the first half.
-
Jackie Brown 1997
One of Tarantino's best soundtracks. Sam Jackson is having a blast. The variety of looks he has on his face is amazing. Especially when looking at Melanie.
-
The Long Goodbye 1973
Looks the coolest. Smoke all over the place, a jazzy score and a wise-cracking Elliot Gould.
-
Easy Rider 1969
A great soundtrack and well done cinematography. Overall it dragged a bit and I wasn't really that invested. Jack Nicholson is great of course, as always.
-
Paths of Glory 1957
Looks absolutely amazing. Kirk Douglas delivers in spades and the way there is nothing he can do is so well done and portrayed.
-
Dial M For Murder 1954
Enjoyable twists and turns.

Life of Pi 2012
Visually, one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen. There are tons of unbelievable shots in Life of Pi. The underwater scenes are pure perfection and the 3D did add to the experience, especially when underwater. I'm not a fan of 3D so it did surprise me that I enjoyed it for the most part. Still distracting whenever people are having a normal conversation in 3D but overall it was good. The performances are great and the tiger…

Cape Fear 1991
De Niro is a beast. One of his most fun performances full of insane energy.
The ever present score is a highlight, ominous, bombastic at times, always wonderful. The best thing about the movie, though, is Martin Scorsese's brilliant camera work. It's all over the place. Quick cuts, zooms, pans, tilts upside down and what have you.
