I think I'm going to start using "dozy' in all my conversations.
here is my review letterboxd.com/tonyd9779/film/the-wind-that-shakes-the-barley/
@Lise, thats actually the vision i have of Ireland, a drab, gloomy, windy and rainy island. That's not meant to be derogatory, but from what i've seen of or heard of from Ireland it's always less that breathtaking. I'm sure that isn't the picture of it all the time, but that is a characteristic of Ireland....gloomy and windy and rainy.
I remember an episode of Conan O'Brian,, when he went to Ireland. He was standing in from of a castle, and the wind was so insane that he was screaming to ensure he was heard over it. He says "This is O'Brian castle, my families land. I don't know why they would have left." It was pretty funny, the wind had to be about 40-50 MPH.
Both added, thanks.
@Lise: Very good point about the drab look to the film being in contrast to the stereotypical idea of Ireland. That was something I hadn't even considered.

Added.
Also, no more entries in a few hours. We'll be moving on to the next film.
Managed to find the time to watch it just under the wire.
